These 50’ box cars with Bettendorf trucks were re-built in 1968 for Union Pacific for use in general service, transporting non-temperature-sensitive commodities, and featured a bright “red dot” paint scheme. Union Pacific continues to operate today as one of the largest Class 1 railroads in North America with over 32,000 miles of track.
