Atlas Corn Syrup Tank Car (yellow stripes)
This car had the brake wheel end crossover handrail installed incorrectly where it mounted to the crossover platform. After I corrected that issue, I went about replacing the AccuMate trucks/couplers with Micro-Trains 1035 trucks. I found that the truck mounting bolsters were mounted to the tank body with screws thru a small plastic tab that was part of the bolster. This small tab interfered with the Micro-Trains trucks attachment to the bolsters. After removing the screws and cutting off the tabs, I applied CA adhesive to the bolsters where they contacted the tank body. I then installed the Micro-Trains trucks and the tank car was ready for the rails. This tank car has really nice detail and with a little work and time, it turned out rather nice.
