I have several older locks that I bought used, who's traction tires have worn to the point of uselessness. While looking for replacements, I came across this and thought I'd give it a try. I'm glad I did! It has worked beyond my expectations! I did learn to be careful to apply it smoothly, or you will have running problems, but it's easy to remove and try again. I've seen comments about it not lasting long, but it's easy to just apply some more. And this one bottle should be enough to last a lifetime!

Bullfrog snot tire...

Actually worked on very old Marx Hudson locomotive with a very deep/thick tire...very pleased with results.

For diesels, OK buy the tires, simple to put on, for steamers another situation. I dread working on my steamers, always end up breaking something off and it's gone. This stuff works great with no disassembly of the steamer's gear. Easy to apply, fast to dry and super for adding traction to pull those long trains.
