Description

The EMD F7 is a 1,500 horsepower diesel locomotive built by General Motors' Electro-Motive Division between 1949 and 1953. The F7 was EMD's fourth model in the line of F-unit locomotives, and was by far the best-selling cab unit of all time. The F7 primarily differed from the F3 in internal equipment, but there were some noticeable external changes such as the grills and the dynamic brake hatches. F7's operated in both passenger and freight service, and many of them remained in service for decades.

In this production, we are modeling A and B-units from fourteen railroads with prototypically accurate road numbers and paint schemes. Our Stealth Series offering will consist of No-Sound / DCC-Ready single A-units and single B-units. All of our models have road-specific details.

    Broadway Limited Stealth series F7-A

Posted by Blane Armstrong on 22nd Sep 2023

No complaint about the model locomotive or Midwest Model Railroad. As a suggestion for MMR to pass to Broadway Limited. I like my Blue Headdress F7-A, but as a kid growling up along the Santa Fe tracks, and seeing lots of trains. I never saw the Blue Headdress F-7s. More Red headdress F-7s in new road numbers is my request.
