Intermountain Bi-Level Southern Pacific Speed Lettered Autorack
I'm a huge fan of Intermountain autoracks! The most distinguishing detail regarding their racks is the photo etched see through car sides. Both the old and the newer security side panel versions are very nicely done. The end doors on the car are detachable and being brass, they are sturdy and are nicely detailed with applied metal grab irons. The modeler can remove the doors and add autos to either or both levels of the rack, snap the end doors onto the car end and you have an autorack transporting autos on your pike! The details on the autorack are nicely presented: accurate paint scheme and colors, very fine printing, good balance, fairly detailed brake rigging, and top of the line Micro-Trains couplers and wheels for a smooth-running rack that looks great rolling down your track. I'm an SP fan and the Intermountain SP speed-lettered racks look great on my layout! This car easily commands Five Stars!
