Evidently, Rapido Trains, a relatively new train manufacturer has allegedly not made their locomotives suitable for use with MRC's 1300 & 1370 Power Packs, which have used the same tried and true technology for the last 25 years with UL Certification.

Terrific...
I am well pleased with this transformer thus far. It has proven to be simple to set up and has performed flawlessly. I felt the price was reasonable and it has been exactly what I had hoped for!

Replacement
The MRC1370 transformer with it's 18 volt output was a perfect replacement for my old one the had a defective reostat.

Railpower Power Pack - Exactly What I Needed!
I am resurrecting my 1970s/80s HO train layout to share with the grandkids. But my old Tyco power pack gave up the ghost. I reached out to Midwest Model Railroad and asked for their thoughts on a good replacement that would work with my vintage DC engines. They recommended, and I bought, the unit from Model Rectifier Corp (MRC). It was a good call. Great looking power pack, not too big and the trains run like a dream!
