Description
Built by National Steel Car in early 2013 for Railbox, a TTX subsidiary, these 286,000-pound capacity, 60’ rib-side high-cube boxcars feature double-plug doors and belong to a series of 725 cars. Commonly called “TBOX cars” in reference to the reporting mark, they have a 7,538 cubic-foot capacity and can be found in trains hauling general freight all-across North America.

M-T 60' Box Car TTX Company TBOX 667028
Since I had the 3-pack from a while back, I needed a couple more of these to run with my other 60' box cars from other roads. These cars are great! All I needed to do was add some graffiti, paint the brake hand wheel black, weather the trucks, weather the underside with PanPastel Black and give the car a light dusting with PanPastel Burnt Sienna Shade (rust brown). Now I'm waiting for the Atlas Master Gunderson 7550 TTX cars to complete my collection of TTX 60' box cars.
