    Fold three times, paint once

Posted by Mike S on 19th Apr 2025

I was so looking for to these since I work on them as a professional. But once I got them and looked at them, I noticed it’s a flat piece folded into a triangle. I'm not too upset about that part, but the folds don't meet up, which leaves a big gab on one side. So now I have to make sure the gab is on the back side. When adding a tower on top of another tower you need to either cut a section out or repaint them. Since the sections have red/orange (depending on which version you get) on both ends of a single piece.

    Radio transmission tower

This is a really nice model. Excellent Paint only caveat was some of the spot welds did not take in the bottom of the tower separated however, I don't see it as a problem with some glue or possibly doing some soldering.

Looks great in my layout between the fire department and the jail.

    Great looking tower.

I equipped it with a couple beacon lights, one at the top and the other midway. I had to wrap the wires and diodes around the tower because unfortunately there was not enough space to feed them up inside. Anyway it looks cool and I would get another if it was HO guage.
