Walthers Proto 920-9204 - 85' ACF Baggage Car Union Pacific (UP) Art Lockman, Early w/printed name, number decals - HO Scale

A key part of Union Pacific's public relations programs, 48 historic passenger cars, three restored steam locomotives and an A-B-A set of E9 diesels make up the famed Heritage Fleet. Many were originally purchased for the City Streamliners, and have been carefully restored and updated to full operating condition. Today, the cars and E9s are finished in a modern Armour Yellow scheme, and the cars carry names of important cities, famous trains and key people in the railroad's long history. In service, these rolling goodwill ambassadors travel system-wide and beyond, to attend a wide range of public and special events every year.

Built in 1962 by St. Louis Car Company, baggage car #6334 was one of the last cars of this type purchased by the Union Pacific. In 1973 it was refitted as a tool car (#904304) and assigned to snowplow service, where it remained until joining the Heritage Fleet steam program in 1981. In 1991, the car was named for the foreman of the Cheyenne, Wyoming, roundhouse, and the last full-time steam employee hired, Art Lockman. In 2003, the car received UPP reporting marks and was renumbered #6334. Today, the car houses a full machine shop, along with a variety of tools, parts, lubricants and more to support UP's steam locos when they're out on the road
