Description
The prototypes for bulk oil distributors like the Walthers Cornerstone N Scale Interstate Fuel and Oil have long been important for every railroad. At home in cities and towns, dealerships like this distribute fuel oil, gasoline and other products locally. This structure kit includes horizontal and vertical storage tanks, above-ground piping, pump house with header stand to unload tank cars, truck loading rack and corrugated metal office. A gas pump, oil drums and other details are also provided. Like the prototypes, the various pieces on Interstate Fuel and Oil can be arranged to fit available space and the kit structures are also easily split up for other uses on your layout. Interstate Fuel and Oil is a great addition to scenes among other Cornerstone N Scale industrial buildings.

Walthers Cornerstone Interstate Oil Co, N...
In my opinion, this kit is for the more advanced model builder. You will need to add a few small blocks to hold the piping at the proper level. Piping platform holes, to insert the structure, are off. Does not allow for a “square” platform. There are a few You Tube videos out there that can give you suggestions for modifying and completing this project. Instructions provided are not too clear. I would suggest that you complete all the painting and weathering before final assembly. The bright side is that once completed, it does look magnificent on the layout.
