Let me start by saying I’m a 63 year old “old school” modeler. My layout was built about 35 years ago in N scale with Atlas track. DC control. Up until my retirement in 2020 after 41 years with Southern Ry/Norfolk Southern, the layout had been mothballed for 25 years, but as a retirement project I decided to renovate it including building a new control board to, among other things, show switch positions. I used Atlas Snap-Relays to control the LED’s, but quickly realized that the relays would occasionally throw but the switch machine wouldn’t! Installing Peco extended pin switch motors on Peco mounting pads, then adding PL-15 micro switches enabled me to control the indicator LED’s directly from the turnout and preventing false indications! The second set of contacts enables powering the frog or other signal lights! Great product, and just what the doctor ordered! If you belong to the twin coil switch machine club, you’ll love this product !
