PRE-ORDER: Broadway Limited 9997 - Track Inspection Car Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe (ATSF) Unlettered Stainless Steel - HO Scale

Pre-Order Due Date:  March 5th 2026

Most manufacturers give a Pre Order ETA which can be seen near the 'add to cart' button. They also give a due date which is indicative of when the product is expected to go into production.

Please note that the software forces us to leave the "In Stock" banner up for the product to be orderable. Any pre order that says "In Stock" is not actually in stock, as denoted by the bigger "PRE-ORDER" banner.

There is a 5% NON-refundable deposit for preorders, this amount will be deducted from the price of the product when it arrives.  You will see how much downpayment is required after adding the item to your cart.

For any pre-order submitted after the due date, we will try our best to fulfill your order, but are at the mercy of the manufacturer and if they produce more than were preordered by their dealers.

Pre-Orders will show a 0 shipping cost now, and shipping will be included on your invoice at time of product arrival.

When the product(s) are available to ship, you will receive an invoice via email and text through Intuit QuickBooks for the remaining 95%. Message and data rates may apply.

• This is the car in it's appearance between 1975-1982. (Item #9990)

• This is the car in it's appearance between 1982-1990. The most notable difference between this appearance and the 1975-1982 appearance is the underbody details. These era-specific details did not go unnoticed! Each version is accurately modeled for the years the car traversed the Santa Fe system. (Item #9991)

• ictured above is the car after it was rebuilt and recieved some modifications. This is the car in it's appearance between 1990 and 1995. Modifications include a modified rear window including larger retractable compartment for protective panels to cover the glass with. Underbody details were reworked, the large "Track Inspection Car" panel was replaced with a smaller panel with "William Barstow Strong". The car also had a grab iron placed over the window next to it's #89.
   
  If you own our HO scale model of Santa Fe 3751, this car was part of its famous 1992 cross-country Employee Appreciation Special, operating on the rear of the train between Chicago and Los Angeles. This car also appeared many times behind red and silver warbonnet painted freight locomotives in the railroad's "super fleet" scheme. (Item #9992)

• Following the merger with Burlington Northern in 1995, the car was re-numbered and re-lettered. It also featured the early BNSF logo. Our model represents the car in it's appearance between 1995 and 2008. (Item #9993)
   
• In 2008, the car received some exterior changes. This includes the addition of roof antennas, BNSF's new "Swoosh" logo and the removal of the bottom plate that originally held the cars name. (Item #9994)

• Sometime in 2013 the cars white paint on the roof was repainted to aluminum silver to match the rest of the stainless steel appearance. It appeared in this configuration until 2018. (Item #9995)

• In 2018, the car again received more modifications, this time to it's light package. The spotlights next to the coupler were upgraded to provide better lighting to the crews riding the car. This is how the car appears today. (Item #9996)
