Description
Developed in the mid 1960’s by John B. Rogers, and produced by the Super Company of Ft. Worth, Texas. These were sold as lifting style spark arrestors. Inside of the sheet metal housing, was a movable, chain mail like mesh. When the engine was running, the mesh would lift and catch any embers. When the engine shut down, the mesh would drop down, to have a self-cleaning effect. Can be modeled with out without the screens – most had the screens removed.
This set is for the EMD switchers. Includes two spark arrestor housings, wire, angle iron stack mounting brackets, cutting and bending jig and scale mesh screen material.
This kit is for advanced modelers. Photo-etch scissors are required for building.
