Gotham Rail 3043 - Lifting Spark Arrestor - GP 2x - HO Scale

Developed in the mid 1960’s by John B. Rogers, and produced by the Super Company of Ft. Worth, Texas.  These were sold as lifting style spark arrestors.  Inside of the sheet metal housing, was a movable, chain mail like mesh.   When the engine was running, the mesh would lift and catch any embers.  When the engine shut down, the mesh would drop down, to have a self-cleaning effect.  Can be modeled with or without the screens – most had the screens removed.  

This set is for the EMD GP and SD’s.  It is designed to be used with our stock EMD Stacks, however can be used with stock parts with light modifications.  Includes two spark arrestor housings, wire, cutting and bending jig and scale mesh screen material.  

This kit is for advanced modelers.  Photo-etch scissors are required for building.
