Gotham Rail 8015 - Track Skates 12x - HO Scale

Wheel skates are a small device used for chocking freight cars at industries, and are also used in some switching yards to stop slow moving cars.  The wheel rides up onto the skate, and pushes it letting the friction slow and stop the car without sliding the wheel itself.  

Our set includes 12 unpainted resin skates in two of the most common style’s: 6 fabricated and 6 cast.  These can be used as a trackside detail part, or for holding cars on a siding as they work just like the prototype.  A little skim of canopy glue on the bottom gives them even more holding power.
