  I purchased the D C Confectioners kit because it provided a look that fit nicely with buildings in a city section on my N scale layout. Assembly instructions were easy to follow, and the accompanying to-scale diagrams helped getting all the various trim pieces in the right places. All wall and trim parts are wood, and a good wood glue holds them together nicely. There were no problems getting the laser cut parts our of their sheets. Walls, windows and doors were spray painted. Building trim and other small wood pieces were colored using typical wood stain. There was enough metal roofing material to use for both the loading dock and the roof-top structure. The included chain-link fence material was attached to the side walk-up supports, which then provided a space to display other advertisements from the sheet included with the model.
