Description

DIMENSIONS: 1.7“ x 2.8“ base x 5.1“H

Town and city will welcome the N scale five-story Blair Trust corner building. Their architectural style can be found nationally and fits with any era. The elegance of the structure derives from its fine proportions and perfect balance of detail and simplicity. This kit provides separate, self-locating windows and doors, pre-cast in color. Side and rear walls are cast in correct "common brick" color. Stone-color areas on the fronts can be left as they are or cornice and street levels can be painted to replicate iron/sheet metal, which is more typical. Only front brick areas require painting. Tab and slot locators and precisely machined 45° angles provide easy, square assembly of wall corners. Black roofs with cast-in hatches and one chimney are included plus clear window material and photo/text instructions.

    The good and the...

Lunde building kit assembly should only be attempted by experienced modelers. This is for several reasons. First of all, they must be put together with super glue, and not the kind you get at building supply stores. Get glue especially made for model assembly with a very fine-tipped bottle. I use 5-15 second glue. Next, due to the molding process they use, parts may not fit together exactly as they should, and a lot of modification may be necessary. The initial assembly process is this: Glue the front and an adjacent side together. They must be at exactly 90 degrees. Then glue the back and the other adjacent side together, again at 90 degrees. Glue in the window frames, doors, and "glass". Then glue the two halves together. If you did both halves at 90 degrees, they should fit. If you didn't, it's almost impossible to correct your mistake. Now the good. Lunde Buildings look really nice when complete, especially if you like the look of older, classical, buildings with a lot of ornamentation.
