The 1965 Mustang was designed by the company’s in-house design team and from start to finish, the design, development and production was completed in a record 18 months. The result was ground-breaking! The Mustang was the first of a generation of Ford ‘pony cars’ and was an instant success, staying in production until 1973 with various modifications to engine, performance and size along the way. It came with three options - a 2-door hardtop, 2-door fastback and 2-door convertible.
This 1965 Mustang appears as the superb 2-door convertible in rich beige with exterior chrome finish. The interior is moulded in beige with an ivory dashboard, pale brown steering wheel and a pure white tonneau cover folded back. The whitewall tyres feature a blue wheel boss and the signature pony emblem is embedded into the radiator grille below the Ford name. The Mustang pony also features on each side behind the front wheel arch with a vertical red, white and blue band. Our Mustang is registered in Kansas Midway USA as SW 7721.
