Description

EMD’s E-8 was the quintessential North American passenger locomotive of the 1950s through the 1970s. 450 E8A and 46 E8B units were produced. These units pulled passenger trains from coast to coast, and later became the backbone of Amtrak’s fleet in its early days. Many were later used in commuter and freight services before being retired. Today several units live on in museums and tourist railroads throughout North America.

Rapido E8
I bought DL&W 818 and 819 from this run and I'm very impressed by them. Sound is very good but the operation of this pair is excellent. They will run perfectly together from a crawl to maxed out. Detail is excellent and they're quite handsome. These are my 1st Rapido engines. I mainly buy Athearn Genesis and these are up to par with them or better.
