This is definitely a very cheap plastic toy. I am also very disappointed with the couplers as they keep disconnecting. This is happening on all four Rock Island Hobby Army cars I purchased. When I stop the trains and restart the RIH cars disconnect from remainder of the train. On several occasions they actually disconnected while running causing a major crash when the engine and other cars came back around. I bought these for my Military themed layout and will just be using these as scene decorations on a sidetrack on the layout. Most likely will not run them anymore.
