ScaleSigns new Highway overhead sign tower...

Posted by RICK SIMPSON on 15th Apr 2025

I received two sets of the new overhead sign tower structure kits last week and found these parts to be useful for my intended purpose. I was disappointed to find the tower base sections on both sets, to be severely warped( a problem I see way too often on 3D printed products ) and essentially find them rendered useless in their current state. I tried heating these with both boiling water and using a hairdryer, which was more effective but once the print cooled down, the warping returned. If you’re buying these ( or anything intricately printed in 3D nylon or other plastics, be aware of this issue and recommend buying from a source where you can see what you’re getting. Midwest Models is not responsible for this issue.
