The larger grades can be used as loads in railcars or in the landscape while the ultra fine grade of black lava works really well for roofing, as asphalt for blacktop roads or driveways. Looking for an alternative to Arizona Rock and...
When I saw Midwest advertise this product and was curious about it as an alternative to ARM rock and ballast. When I ordered very fine, I was hoping it would be the size for N scale ballast but it is larger than that. I really like the product and will go try Ultra fine for n scale.
