Nice paintwork!
Walthers did a very good job on these Southern cars. Roadname and number fonts, placement and printing is excellent and very opaque. While some may think the round "O" is incorrect, it actually is prototypical for some cars. (I actually have a photo of 71465, one of these cars numbers, with a round "O".) Quite a few cars ended up with these during repaints, including gons and covered hoppers. The color of the car looks really good and fits into the various shades seen on these hoppers. Paint finish is smooth with no apparent blemishes. All car data is placed correctly per prototype photos and is clearly printed. The COTS label is the correct double, stacked type used by Southern in the 70's. Very pleased with these models. They completely capture the look of a everyday hard worker in '70s era Southern service perfectly.
