Description
Molten sulfur is used in many products such as fertilizers, sulfuric acid, rubber, detergents, fungicides and in petroleum refining. Transporting molten sulfur is no easy task, so specialized tank cars were developed in the 1990s to do the job safely and efficiently. An insulated jacket keeps the sulfur molten in transit while heating coils aid in unloading the contents at the destination.
