The WalthersProto Replacement Geared Driver Assembly is a pair of wheelsets completely assembled and used as replacements on early PROTO 2000(R) Alco FA, EMD BL2, GP7, GP9, GP18, GP20, GP30, GP60 and PROTO 1000(TM) EMD F3, Alco RS2 and RSC2 diesels produced by Life-Like Trains before 2005.

Replacement gear driver assembly ( diesel wheel set)
If you have one of the Life Like Proto 2K diesel locomotives on your railroad empire and you should encounter the dreaded cracked driver gear this is a great replacement alternative to just replacing the cracked gear or maybe an upgrade in replacement wheels also as was my case. Some of the very early 2K had brass wheels like mine did. Dump the brass install a set of these and your back rolling hauling freight again. Who wants to have a locomotive sitting idle?
