Description
Kit - 9 x 7" 22.9 x 17.8cm
Cattle and livestock were important traffic on every U.S. and Canadian railroad from the steam era into the 1960s and the Walthers Cornerstone Stock Pens kit makes it easy to bring this traffic to your HO Scale railroad. Federal laws mandated that animals be rested and fed en route, so stock pens like this could be found in yards as well as near small towns and at remote sidings along the mainline. Huge stockyards, covering several acres, could be found in big cities, and packing plants needed pens to hold livestock. With its modular design, this kit builds everything from a small town loading stock pen to a big city stockyard. The kit includes detailed parts for two realistic pens with loading chutes aligned to the doors on coupled 40' stock cars, plus a lean-to for shelter or feeding.

I have this!
I put this in my layout, it turned out really nice! I worked it into my farm and it is now a cattle ranch! I spray painted the fencing brown and put some rough grass on the bottom, added some bales of hay and a bunch of cattle. Wish I could post a pic!
