Murky is the right word.
There's more here then you'll ever need. If you're not sure how much to use, just put actual water in the mixing cup for the amount of mix you're going to make and count the drops until you get the look you want. I like it somewhat opaque or the bottom is TOO visible. Then rinse and go for it.

Who wants clean water when you can have dirty...
Beware: A little bit goes a long way. However, I got the tint I wanted, and I knew a little bit went a long way.
