Pre-Order FAQ
Most manufacturers give an ETA on when they expect to release the pre-order which can be seen near the "add to cart" button on the product page. They also give an order due date (found in the product description) which is indicative of when the product is expected to go into production.
There is a 5% NON-refundable deposit for preorders, this amount will be deducted from the price of the product when it arrives. You will see how much downpayment is required after adding the item to your cart. We do not store your payment information and it is not charged by us when the product arrives.
For any pre-order submitted after the due date, we will try our best to fulfill your pre-order, but are at the mercy of the manufacturer and if they produce more than were preordered by their dealers. If we cannot fulfill your pre-order we will credit the 5% deposit to you.
When the pre-ordered product(s) are available to ship, you will receive an email requesting the remaining 95% payment that will take you to your cart. It is at this point you are asked for shipping address and method OR in-store pickup.. We will never charge your payment method without you checking out. At this time you are also able to add other in-stock items if you wish.
Please note that Estimated Arrival Dates can change at any point. Midwest Model Railroad is not responsible for manufacturers delaying production. Visit midwestmodelrr.com/pre-orders/ for more information.

Broadway Limited Imports has earned a reputation for producing some of the finest HO scale steam locomotives on the market, including many of today's most popular excursion favorites. Now, we're excited to introduce the perfect companion for those locomotives - the DLMX 4219 Auxiliary Water Tender in HO scale!
When restored steam locomotives travel on long-distance excursions, they require a constant supply of water to keep running. Auxiliary water tenders provide that extra capacity, allowing locomotives to travel farther between water stops. The DLMX 4219 has become one of the most recognizable auxiliary tenders in excursion service, making it an essential addition for anyone modeling modern-day steam operations.
This tender has traveled behind some of North America's most famous excursion locomotives, including Southern Pacific 4449, Santa Fe 3751, Canadian Pacific 2816, Southern Pacific 2472, and Spokane, Portland & Seattle 700. If you already own one of these locomotives - or plan to add one to your roster - the DLMX 4219 is the perfect finishing touch to complete the scene.
Every model arrives fully assembled and features BLI's Touch Lighting System, allowing you to easily control realistic lighting effects during operation. Additional features include DC and DCC compatibility, finely detailed trucks and underbody components, brake rigging, piping, and numerous prototype-specific details throughout.
This production run includes four authentic paint schemes, including Southern Pacific Daylight, Santa Fe ""Let's Roll,"" Canadian Pacific, and BNSF Employee Special. We're also offering six fantasy paint schemes inspired by other popular excursion locomotives, along with one black, unlettered version that's perfect for modelers who want to customize the tender to match their own favorite locomotive.
Whether you're recreating a modern excursion train or simply looking for the perfect companion to your steam locomotive, the DLMX 4219 Auxiliary Water Tender is a must-have addition to your collection.
About The Prototype: The DLMX 4219 was originally built as the tender for Southern Pacific AC-10 class 4-8-8-2 cab-forward locomotive No. 4219. After its steam-era service, it was used to supply water for rotary snowplows and firefighting operations in remote territories.
In 1984, the tender was acquired by the Friends of 4449 and cosmetically modified to match the appearance of Southern Pacific 4449's tender. It has since become a familiar sight on steam excursions throughout North America as an auxiliary water tender accompanying operating steam locomotives.
