Description
The John Henry Monument is a tribute to John Henry, the legendary “steel-driving man” from African American railroad folklore. Set near the Great Bend Tunnel by Big Bend Mountain in Talcott, West Virginia, it commemorates the story’s idea of a man competing against a steam-powered drill (“man against machine”) and symbolizes the hard, dangerous work of Black railroad workers who built and maintained the rails.
This pack comes with two monuments, primed and ready for paint.
