It is the first model to adopt JR Central's next-generation brand "N-QUALIS." From March 2022, the 0 Series with an eight-car integrated formation began operations on the Chuo Main Line (between Nagoya and Nakatsugawa). Subsequently, in June 2023, the introduced 3000 Series, a four-car group, began operations on the Kansai Main Line (between Nagoya and Kameyama). Further expansions are planned for the Take-Toyu Line and Tokaido Main Line (between Obu and Ogaki) in March 2024, and the Shizuoka area on the Tokaido Main Line by June 2024.
