Kato Japan 10-2084 - TGV Sud-Est 5 Cars Add-on Set - N Scale

The TGV Sud-Est is the first-generation TGV train introduced on France's LGV South-East Line (Paris to Lyon), Europe's first high-speed railway line. Initially operated on conventional lines before the line opened in 1981, it began operations at a top speed of 260 km/h. Two years later, with the line's extension, its top speed increased to 270 km/h. Surpassing the operating speeds of Japan's Shinkansen at the time, it gained attention as the world's fastest train. After various updates to both the route and the train, the maximum speed improved to 300 km/h, and it remained in active service for a long time. Even after the actual trains were retired, the first-generation orange livery remains immensely popular.
