Description

The Peco streamline Unifrog combines the features of both Insulfrog and Electrofrog. As supplied the turnouts operate like an Insulfrog: the tip of the frog is a separate, isolated section, so will be dead when connected to a live layout. However, a wire has been welded to the underside of the frog tip that gives the modeller the option of "powering" the frog, i.e. connecting it to a microswitch, or changeover switch, which allows the frog tip to change polarity according to which direction the turnout is set. It's a much more versatile option for modellers. All Peco Streamline turnouts are supplied complete with comprehensive instructions. The Peco Universal Fine N Gauge Trackage system, with Code 55 rail, gives even greater realism and is complimented by the Peco Streamline Universal Fine N Gauge Flexible Track. Despite the low visible rail height of only 0.055 inch all makes of British and continental locomotives and rolling stock will operate on it. The ingenious rail section combines strength with realism. It can be readily joined to Peco Universal Code 80 N Trackage and other makes using Code 80 Rail, but the turnouts cannot be used as direct replacements for Code 80 since the geometry is different. Universal N Joiners (SL-310) are used. Additional sleepers (SL-308F or SL-309F) enable correct sleeper spacing to be maintained at rail joins. Length: 137mm Radius: 457mm Angle: 10°

These turnouts are well made, have precise rail position, realistic ties, accurate point movement, and they don't short circuit. Well worth the money.
