Description

33 Foot Tall Corrugated Grain Bin.  Kit makes a 33' tall by 24' diameter Corrugated Grain Bin. The Rix 33 and 44 foot Corrugated Grain Bins for HO & N scale are designed to represent the popular style of grain bins used by many farmers and companies to store many types of commodities. the Rix Grain bin is made up of 6 band segments which form a complete band. The bands are then stacked on top of one another until they reach the height you wish. Kit includes enough band segment to produce a either a 33 foot tall or 44 foot tall by 24 foot diameter grain bin with door and 30 degree peaked top. Molded in a Galvanized color. (HO shown which also includes roof vents and blower)

    Grain...

    I received the grain bin for Christmas from my wife. I just started putting it together last night. As before with the last one that I built, it fits together perfectly. No problems whatsoever. Thank you for such a fine product. Happy New Year

    Old School Grain...

    I'm not a model railroader, but bought this item as a remembrance of the sale of family farm land and the ridiculous amount of effort that went into the smallest part of the sale...namely the grain bin. I ordered two. The first I put together not appreciating the instructions to the fullest. It turned out okay, but I followed the instructions to the ultimate and the second one turned out perfect. I presented the bin to our attorney as a remembrance and he got quite a laugh out of it. It may or may not grace an HO scale railroad someday, but it was the perfect gift and I appreciate the chance to put it together. Had a heck of a time finding the glue, by the way. Everyone locally was sold out. Wish I'd known I could have bought it at the same time, but I'm not a modeler generally. Next time I will know. Thanks for making a great model available at what feels like a ridiculously low price for the quality of the kit.
