Description

Newly Released... The New Haven Junction Passenger Station is now available.

The New Haven Junction Passenger Station is a plastic-injection molded structure kit.

This structure kit comes into the Rail-Scale-Models product line-up as part of the acquisition of the Railway Design Associates structure kit business.

The Stone Powerhouse / Out-Building represents the prototype passenger station in New Haven Junction, Vermont.  It's a small, quaint, red brick station with classic details.  Kit includes walls, roof, base, roof support brackets, and a sprue full of detail parts to include on this model or others on your railroad.  Easy assembly and a small footprint will allow it to fit well anywhere on your model railroad layout.

The sample model shown was masterfully built by Leon Durham.

Footprint:  6.0” x 4.0”

NOTE:  Figures, vehicles, ground scenery, railroad track, and general diorama construction materials shown in model photos are not included in the kit.  Pictures shown are of the pilot model construction;  production models might vary slightly.

    Quality

Posted by Brian Hub on 18th Jun 2026

This is the first Rail Scale model that I've built. I would say the overall quality is not as good as what you would get from Walthers. The attachment of parts to the sprue is very thick which means a lot more trimming and sanding. Parts don't quite go together exactly, with some gaps showing, such as the walls at the corners. The windows are separate pieces, which is good, but the four doors are not, so that makes painting the doors difficult. The base has two sides which are made to look like wood planks, but the building is too small to fit up to the plank details, which leaves a gap beteween the building and the planks. There are no step-by-step instructions, just general guidelines. I would not recommend unless you can't find what you want in Walthers.
