– NCTX “Pacific 66 Calgary AB 1964” shows a classy white paint scheme with the classic “Pacific 66” and the words “LP Gas” prominently advertising – in large red and black stenciling – what these cars were designed to transport. In the center of the car, the black painted stenciling says “Pacific Petroleums Ltd. Calgary Alberta Lessee.” These cars feature the Roman-style NCTX reporting mark stenciling in black, which certainly “pops” against the white-painted carbody. The NCTX reporting mark was use for North American’s Canadian operations, and stands for North American Tank Car (Canada) Ltd. These cars have black anti-personnel bars along the carbody, to give another cool detail seen on some of these cars. This Tangent model offering screams “Canada!” Finally, a Canadian tank car for the pivotal 1960s-1990s period! See our 1979+ version of this paint livery to see these cars in their later lives. These tank cars roll on Tangent 100-ton Barber S-2 trucks with 36’ wheels, separate truck brake beams and rotating Timken roller bearing caps. These cars are perfect for filling out your location-specific trains.
