– Santa Fe ATSF “Delivery 6-1969” replicates the as-delivered red scheme applied by Thrall to the Santa Fe’s order of fifty cars. This big car gets big graphics, with the large circle cross ATSF logo on the left side and huge “Super Shock Control A Smoother Ride” graphics on the right. This is a classy paint scheme for box car! This model features Keystone End-Of-Car Cushioning and related coupler centering devices, matching the prototype photos. The model has Ajax brake equipment on the B End along with a modern brake wheel and original Thrall coupler lift bars. The double plug doors feature gorgeous stand-off door rods, rollers and handles. This replica is equipped with 100-Ton Barber S-2 trucks with rotating Timken caps. If you look at the roof, we have duplicated the prototype red overspray, matching Thrall Car Company’s paint application process in their Chicago Heights, IL plant. Yes, that is a stand-off ACI label applied to a metal plate, just like the real cars. The cars feature their original Pool Code 68/Return route stencils to the N&W Railway in Cleveland, Ohio (Ford Parts Distribution Pool).
