EUN651 installed in a DC Bachmann...
This decoder works great on my Bachmann GP40, requires soldering to install. The instructions say to bend the pins, then cut them off to shorten the ends. I recommend leaving them as long as possible instead, and bend them right at the ends, for heat transfer purposes. When soldering, be very careful to limit the heat as much as possible. If too hot, the decoder pins will quickly desolder from the board. It’s much easier to recover from this error by removing all the pins and soldering wires between the decoder & the locomotive board than it is to reinstall a pin, once desoldered. Don’t ask how I know.
