Description
The 500 series is a Shinkansen train developed by JR West for the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen lines, characterized by its sharp, sleek shape reminiscent of an aircraft.
The 500 series 7000 series was modified for use on the Sanyo Shinkansen Kodama line in 2008, shortening the train to eight cars and changing the shape of the pantograph and cover.
