These massive storage tanks were actually the last stop, used to store gas and maintain a constant pressure in the underground supply pipelines. Moveable sections rose to increase storage capacity when demand was less, and lowered as demand increased. With its intricate detail and easy construction, this model marks the first time an American-prototype gas storage tank is available.
