– Green Bay & Western (GBW) “Yellow Repaint” 1963+ brings an updated version of the PS-1s that we offered in our first production.  These are the signature 1963 era repaints that GB&W shops produced, where they repainted the classy yellow paint with a federal yellow color, and by painting the entire car in yellow – including the sides, ends, and roof!  GB&W’s yellow paint looks great on these 9’ door cars, especially because they also added the football-shaped “Home of the Packers” logo to the car.  Great for the GB&W modelers, and even for Chicago Bears fans, since these cars were seen in Chicago as well as pretty much else – hauling paper from Biron, Wisconsin!  In fact, these cars are assigned cars, as identified with the stenciling “ASSIGNED FOR PAPER LOADING AT BIRON, WISCONSIN” and a “WHEN EMPTY RETURN TO THE GREEN BAY AND WESTERN R.R.” notation, typical for assigned cars of the period.  The right side of the car includes the large “Green Bay and Western” letters and the left side includes the distinctive “Green Bay Route” logo with white lettering and red background.  Our GB&W models come complete with an accurate 9’ Pullman-Standard door.  This new model rides on the market-leading Tangent 50-Ton ASF A-3 Ride Control Roller Bearing truck – with rotating “Timken” bearing caps!
